If you have an urgent health problem that cannot wait until your doctor is open, then call free phone 111. Your call will be answered by trained operators who will provide advice and direct you to the right local service.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.  You can call 111 anywhere in England making it easier for you to access urgent healthcare services when you need medical help fast.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

ICoF (Intelligent Commissioning Federation) is launching the IAS (Improved Access Scheme) to extend the hours available to patients to be seen by a GP for its member practices.

As Heathfield Family Centre is a member of ICoF, patients will be able to book to see a GP for the following extended hours:

• Monday to Friday 18:30 – 20:00 (6:30pm till 8pm)
• Saturday 09:00 – 13:00 (9am till 1pm)
• Sunday 10:00 – 13:00 (10am till 1pm)
