If you have an urgent health problem that cannot wait until your doctor is open, then call free phone 111. Your call will be answered by trained operators who will provide advice and direct you to the right local service.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.  You can call 111 anywhere in England making it easier for you to access urgent healthcare services when you need medical help fast.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

The Practice is a member of i3 Ladywood Primary Care Network (PCN), which covers a population of around 73,000 patients and 9 GP Practices. Being part of the PCN means that the following services are provided, outside of our normal hours. 

Monday to Friday – 6.30pm to 8.00pm – One of the PCN’s Hubs operates from Newtown Medical Centre for the benefit of all patients in the PCN. 

Saturdays – 9.00am – 5.00pm – An Extended Access Service is provided from the Church Road Surgery, 28 Church Road, Aston, Birmingham B6 5UP. On these days telephone calls will be directed to Church Road Surgery between the hours of 9:00am – 5:00pm.
